Purpose:

The meeting provides the consultant community and the TxDOT Austin District an opportunity to share information in a collaborative manner. The format provides a safe place to discuss issues that have arisen and obtain feedback from a high-level perspective. The goal is for TxDOT to have open dialogue with the consultant community in order to identify and discuss major issues.

Topics:

  • Safety practices and expectations for all providers while visiting or working in the fields
  • Information items: recent changes from PEPS, consultant evaluation, DBE/HUB goal at the Work Authorization level, and new Invoice Service Center
  • TxDOT is also soliciting topics of interest from the consultant community in advance of the meeting. The cutoff for submitting the discussion topics is Thursday, Jan. 11, at noon. TxDOT will consider all submissions before finalizing the agenda. Both internal and external topics will be discussed within the one-hour meeting limit.

Attendance is by invitation only and will be limited to the following participants:
  • District Engineer and Deputy District Engineer
  • Directors of Construction, Maintenance, Transportation Operations, and Advanced Project Development
  • Area Engineers
  • District Design Engineer/Assistant
  • District Utility Engineer
  • Mobility35 Program Manager
  • Central Design Team Leaders
  • PEPS Service Center Manager and District PEPS Liaison
  • Firms doing work in the Austin District
